While thinking of a cool looking
pattern to do, I started in on another small project. This is my
windshield motor made by
Mighty
Wiper. These little motors use less than one amp and move in a 110
degree arc. You can use the park position either the left or right and
it's adjustable.

I drilled a 1/2" hole in two
places to run the wires through. I used a small cable to go from one
hole to the next. Then after I ran the wires down through the
"A" pillar, I ran them down to the kick panel. I had to extend
the wires by about two feet so it would make the long trip towards the
switch. The size of the shaft is 7/16" so after drilling that size
hole, I placed it through the cowl and noticed after putting on the
small nut that I had a gap to deal with between the nut and body. The
Mighty Wiper came with a piece of aluminum to use as a bezel if need be
but you have to cut it to length.

The piece they give you is 1 1/2"
long with a 7/16" hole through it. All I had to do was cut a piece
at an angle, deburr it and then polish it. I guessed at the angle and
ended up with it being just right.

This is what it looks like from the
inside which gets covered by the panel that you saw on the last page.
You can also get this in a polished aluminum case if it's going to show.
I have a place on the passenger side like this one if I want to run two
motors but I think I'm just going to use one.
