As you can see, the down-bars are
5" from the top of the main hoop. I'm happy with how it came out
and it comes apart easily.

This shot shows the coupler a little
better and will be hidden once the upholstery is installed. Getting at
the roll-pins is going to be a tight fit but I can still reach them with
a 1/8" punch.

I had to run my fuel line a little
different once I had the shelves in place. I removed my aluminum fuel
line and cut it shorter and added a longer piece of braided line so it
will run through the new bracket that holds the bottom of the down-bars.
Now it's time to put the floor of the trunk back in and cut some
clearance holes for the new tubes in it.

The piece that you see below is going to be
covered with carpet and goes against the bulkhead in the trunk. You can
see at the bottom where clearance has been made for the speakers and
fender wells. This
is 1/8" thick paneling and cuts and shapes easily. I plan on
attaching the carpet to this piece with Velcro and then attaching the wood to the bulkhead
with four screws. The reason I'm not gluing the carpet to this piece is
because It's to hard to install so I'll just put the carpet on after the
down-bars are in.
