33 Coupe Engine 32
6/25/03
The UPS truck was at my house again
with those coooool looking brown boxes. Let's see what we have this time
around. These polished stainless steel bolts are 3/8"
diameter X 1 1/2" long and will be used for holding my transmission
cross member in place and the others will be used for my
transmission-to-engine.

These are carburetor studs and nuts.
Instead of using a bolt, I wanted to use this set-up plus there
polished. Notice they have a rounded end where the nut will thread on
at. Pretty nice!!

Well we gotta have a carburetor to use
the studs with and the one I bought was made by Holley. This is a 4150
HP series, 950 CFM, double-pumper pro unit. It has mechanical
secondaries with progressive linkage, double 30cc accelerator pumps,
power valve blow out protection, dual feed DOMINATOR fuel bowls, notched
secondary float w/ jet extensions and non stick gaskets. Why I bought such a large carb is because of
the large cubic inch that the engine will be. It will use this much when
I'm running the engine hard so why not!!

|
Notice how it's very smooth and
rounded inside. This makes a big difference how the air enters and makes
more horsepower because of it. Also notice there is no choke horn. This
is a race unit and they don't put them on this series. If your wondering
what a guy does on a cold morning, well that's no problem. All you do
is give it one squirt and it fires-up. It has four corner idle
adjustments, double-step down leg boosters and stainless steel butterflies.
