33 Coupe Engine 15        5/26/03

I had a lot of choices when it came to picking a timing cover and the plain chrome steel ones just didn't seem to do it for me. I went with a polished aluminum piece that is thicker then steel and for a good reason. The cam I will be using wants to ride against this cover and the steel ones are so thin that I thought they would flex. This one shouldn't do that because if the cover did flex, timing would move back and forth and we don't need that.

Notice how thick this timing cover is. With all the heavy pieces I'm using in my car you would think I'm building a tank. It also came with bolts, gaskets and front seal (which goes around the front of the crankshaft so it won't leak).

These are engine mounts that bolt to the side of the block. I had a lot of choices for these to but went with Energy Suspension. They even come in red but I didn't think that would look as good when I got done painting the engine.

The black is a Polyurethane material that is better than rubber because it isn't affected be sun or fluids like gasoline or solvent. The rear piece is not a spacer and is required to be used because of the recess on the back of the top piece, the rear piece sandwiches the two together.

To hold the engine in place we have some polished stainless steel bolts. These are rated at 170,000 psi like some of the other polished ones are.
