Everyone should experience installing
some of these at least once in there life. Let's put it this way....if
you don't bleed at anytime while installing these little razor-blades,
you've done well. My fingers were very sore when I got through.

Here is what it looks like when both
of the locks are installed. Notice the small notch in the hole. This is
the place you use when you need to take the locks out. In case your
wondering, you only use these locks one time because when you finally
get them out, they look like a stretched spring that will never go back
to the same shape.

Here I'm finally ready to assemble the
rods and pistons. Notice the small white container. This has some special lube in
it. The guys that did my engine work gave me this to put between all the
critical moving parts like piston pins, rod and main bearings. When starting an
engine for the first time, you don't want any metal to metal what so
ever so this stuff stays on the surfaces better than oil does. They
wouldn't tell me what it was so I guess it was a secret.

Here you can see the lube on the
piston after the pin went through the hole. This is a good sign because
that means I had enough lube on the pin as it went through the hole.
Having a little to much is better than not enough. Now after a wipe with a rag, it's ready for
the other two locks to be installed.
