I called the wheel company
back to ask them a question before they started building my wheels. What I wanted to know was the inside diameter
(I.D.) of the wheel because I had larger brakes on the rear of the car
than the front. They told me that the size was 13 1/4" I.D. and I
needed 13 3/4", so I had to put the wheels on hold for now because
they wouldn't fit. I ended up calling a new company to find out if
they offered anything that would fit. The new company said that they
thought they had something that would work and they were going to send
one out so I could try it. Now this wheel won't be finished (still needs
polishing) but that didn't matter because all I wanted to find out was if
it would bolt up and clear my brakes. All I would have to end up
paying for was shipping after trying it and then sending it back, so that was
cool. The next day I received an invoice from the first company charging
my credit card half the amount so I called them back to tell them to
cancel my order. They told me that the invoice went out before they had
a chance to hold it and while I was talking to them for awhile, he was
going to do the
same thing as the new company. They to were going to send me out an
unfinished wheel so now I have both company's sending out some
trial-fit wheels. It's nice to know that there're still some company's that
want to work with you. All I would have to pay for is shipping again
which is no-big-deal at this point. I'll let you know what happens in
about a week or so.
On another bad note, after bolting on both rear
fenders, I noticed something that was wrong....again! Can you see
anything?
