This is what it looks like under the
dash with only a couple of wires on it. There will be a few more before
the car is finished but you get the idea.

In the above picture you can see a
black wire with a plug on it coming out of the right side of the MSD
unit. This wire goes to the distributor and has two wires. These wires
are about three feet long which was too long so I decided to cut it to
the length I needed. This is an easy process and all you need is some
shrink-tubing and a soldering iron. The key here is to slide on the
shrink-tubing BEFORE you solder the wire together. Now this may sound
like a no-brainer but believe me, it's easy to forget. I used three
pieces of shrink-tubing and two sizes. The two smaller ones went over
the solder joints and the larger third piece went over both of the
others.

The wire is over a foot shorter now
and matches the outer material pretty close and this way I won't have to
coil it up either. This will be inside of some convoluted tubing later
along with some other wires.

What I'm working on now is the brake pedal arm
that is far to big and taking up some much needed space in the engine
compartment. I plan to shorten this but also plan to lengthen it at the
same time. How in the world am I going to do both? Sit back and check it
out...
