If you remember awhile ago, I never
finished running my exhaust at the rear of the car. I dumped it out over
the rear-end and then stopped to think about how I was going to finish it.
I started looking for chrome or stainless exhaust tips but didn't find
any that I liked so I decided to do something a little different. I
bought this mandrel "U" bend which is 2 1/2" diameter
like the rest of my exhaust system.

Here you can see where I left off at.
I didn't want the exhaust to point at the ground when I was finished so
I plan to cut and weld some tubing to go around the battery box and then
the other side will match it.

It's a little hard to see here but
this is it. All I did was add about one foot to the length of the existing
tube so it would go around the battery. Now it points at about a 45
degree angle out the rear of the car. I took this shot laying down on
the ground so you could see it but when your standing, you don't see any
pipes at all which is what I wanted. I didn't want the tips of the
exhaust to run out the back like most cars have because I just didn't
think it would look as good. If I don't like it in the future, it's an easy
change to do.

While I was doing things to the rear of the car, I
started working on my tail lights. I had a hard time deciding on what
kind of look that I wanted between "flush mounted" or "non flush
mounted" lights. I
went with the non flush mounted style and these are made by
Billet
Specialties. What I have to do now is find a good spot for
them.
