33 Coupe Engine 7        5/18/03

These are the clips that keep the wrist-pins in the pistons. There called Spiro-locs and they are a bitch to get in. To get them out, you just bend them anyway you can and buy new ones. Let's put it this way, if I install all of them and don't have a cut on me, I got lucky.

Pistons have to have rings and Childs & Albert will be the ones I use. These rings have a special coating sprayed into the top ring called Dura-Moly. The top ring when it's made has a notch put in it all the way around and then is filled with Moly. This aids in high heat and high compression. My engine will be an 11.2 to 1 which is high for pump gas.

This is the top ring and its the only one that has the Moly in it. The second one is just plain cast iron.
