33 Coupe Chassis 25        7/18/03

This is 3/16" diameter stainless steel tubing that will be used for the new brake lines. The rolls come in 20 foot lengths but I'll only need about 12 feet. I guess if I screw one up, I'll have enough for another one.

This is the old brake line. I'll be making my new one using this one as a template. The only part of this line that will be different is the end with a right angle bend (right side of picture). Instead of bending down, it will be straight for another 4" and then get bent down.

This will give me a chance to use my new tubing bender that you see below. I added an extra 3" to the end just in case I bent the tubing in the wrong place. This new tool produces a larger radius than the my old lines so I will have to be careful when it comes to the second bend because it has a very tight (smaller) radius.

After bending and checking, I had the basic shape and it was time for a trial fit. Everything looked good after clamping the lines back down so it was time to cut off the excess.
