This is the header flange that you see
bolted up to the adapter plate and they are made by
Dynatech.
The header flange use this weird
pattern to bolt the flange to the adapter plates. If you look close, you
can see the two countersunk bolt heads next to the exhaust ports which
are almost hidden by the gasket. The red line is what needs to be
machined out but at the top inside corner of each port, the flange is
overlapping the line. I don't want a step here as the exhaust exits the
head on it's way to the header tube so I'll have to blend this area
after machining. I can machine out the rest of the material except the
corners which I'll have to stay away from for now.

Here is a close-up of the areas in the
middle. This should give you a better idea of what I mean.

The machining is done except for the
two top-center ports that need to be blended. The ports are almost to
the edge of the bolt holes now. Lots of material came out here. Let's
take a look at the collectors that I'll be using that the header tubes
will be going to.
