Here is the finished board or top before the hardware was installed. I don't have any pictures of the Curly Maple that I used as a border but the pieces were 2" wide when done. The corners of the Curly Maple were mitered at 45 degrees and glued together and yes it was machined again. This is the last step and now I can start to make the box to store all the pieces in.
 

Now it's time to work on the box which is all made from Oak.  The small piece on the left that you see below is part of the divider system that will go inside. The other piece is the side material for the bottom that the finished pieces will go in.
