Chess set 12           
November 2002

Well that's the way I made the set. This is my first attempt at something like this as I am not a wood worker by any means. When it comes to metal well that's a different story. I think it came out pretty much like I wanted it to so I'm happy with it and I hope my dad and daughter are too. And I hope they have as much fun playing as I did making it.

You can see the Curly Maple and the lock here. The pieces all have felt on the bottom to help slide across the board easy. Complete with lock and key that work.
 

 

 

There are some little brass feet that I put on each corner if you look close.
