33 Coupe Having Fun 34        11/08/06

The latest car show that we attended was over in Moreno Valley at a place called Hananleia's Java Hut & Deli which was held on Oct. 21. The show runs from 4 - 8 pm and is held in the parking lot in front of their store, which is in a little mall type place.

Larry, my wife and I were the first ones to show up so we were able to chose most any spot we wanted. This was the first time for all of us at this show so we didn't know what to expect. The amount of cars that showed up that day really wasn't that many. It seems like there's more people once your there and start talking to people. I met a couple of nice guys that evening and we will be sure to go back.

Hananleia's has some good sandwiches and I can't wait to have another pastrami because it was pretty good. There was also a raffle and a 50/50 drawing to round out the show.

Let's take a look a some of the cars that were there that day.

At first glance, this Ford truck looks like it's stock but it wasn't. I'd call it a "sleeper" because it had a good sounding engine in it and a tach that was set at 7500 RPM.

Now this old Chevy really was stock and it looked really good. I like the look of the wide-whites and skirts along with the visor.

Here we have another Chevy, again with some wide-whites but this time it's a 56 Nomad. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I would love to own one of these someday.

This 53 Chevy was very clean and had a lot of work done under the hood. The power comes by way of a small block Chevy and a 700R4 transmission.
