Working With Wood Continued
This is what it looked like the next day. Now it's time to trim and
sand everything.
I used my bandsaw to remove the bulk of
the splines.
I stayed away about 1/8" and now it's time to sand.
My DA sander made quick work of the excess material and I cleaned up the
edges with my sanding block.

Some Last Details
I'm going to stain the back which should provide a nice contrast for
my art project.
The stain sure does make a difference on this light plywood. Almost
makes it look like black walnut.
After masking off the plastic area, I used a clear semi gloss spray for
the frame.
I'm using some 60 minute epoxy for this project which will give me extra
time while I work.
By using a tongue depressor I dabbed a small amount of epoxy on each
piece and stuck them to my stained board. This was an easy process and
it went nice and smooth.
I'm using a tree branch from my peach tree to add a little something
extra to my art project.
