Here is a close-up of the leaf springs and also notice the name on the silver cover, Timken, which is a bearing manufacture.
 

 

 

The orange rusty looking thing is one of the smaller wheels on the engine.
 

 

 

This valve controls the supply of steam to the cylinders.
 

 

 

I stuck my camera underneath and took this shot not knowing what to expect. Notice how large those stabilizer bars are and how much grease there is.
 

 

 

The sides of those big forged wheels have a pretty nice finish.
 

 

 

This modern train engine is used to help it up hills and to pull the passenger cars behind it which have been converted into a souvenir shop.
