One of the shows that I look forward to being at is a charity event put on by the Garden of Angels. All the proceeds benefit the "Safe Arms" act, which is a safe haven for newborn babies. This show was held on Sunday, July 22 at Yucaipa Regional Park in Yucaipa, CA. The show ran from 9 am till 2 pm and the weather was in the low 90's with cloudy skies. The clouds helped keep the temps under control which made for a great day.

This show was open to just about any car, custom, classic, street rod, truck and motorcycles. That being said, their were over 250 entries that showed up for the show, which was really great to see. Last year, the weather wasn't the best because it rained in the morning and it was really foggy. Later in the day, the rain stopped and the fog burned off, but that kept a lot of cars from coming out.

This show has lots of vendors, good food, and a huge raffle and 50/50 drawing. Speaking of the raffle, while I was in line to buy my tickets, someone came up to me and asked me how many tickets I was going to buy. After telling him that I was going to spend 10 dollars (which got you 15 tickets), he wanted to know if I would like to get into his raffle pool which would net me more tickets for the same amount of money. This sounded pretty good to me so he added me to his list.

The deal is like this, the more money you spend, the more tickets you receive. He spent about 140 bucks and got back about 300 tickets. My share came out to be 26 tickets and I only spent ten bucks. I'd say this was a pretty good deal and if he ever asks me again, I'll be sure to get on his list.

Their was a large selection of really nice cars that showed up that day. And I took a few more pictures than I usually do (which means there are a few more pages to click through) so lets check out the show.

I like just about any car show that's in a park, but the Yucaipa Regional Park is a notch above most others. I don't know if it's the big trees through-out the place, the mountains that makeup the background or the lakes that you can see off to one side. All I know is that this is a cool place to have a show. As you can see, the cars are lined up for a long ways. There was an equal amount in the opposite direction as well.
 

Starting things off is this 1957 Chevy and it's as clean as they get. After looking at this car, it was hard to find anything wrong with it.

Their was a whole row of cars and trucks that belonged to the E Street Cruisers and what you see here is just a few of them. They keep their stuff very clean.
