Working With Wood Again
The next day, I cut the sides of my work piece to 15".
This 15" size maxed out my
thickness planer.
As you can see my work piece just fits in the machine.
Next I squared both ends and cut it to 18.5" long.
Now it's time to layout for my threaded hardware. I placed the chain on
my wood piece, centered it and then used a pencil to trace around each
threaded piece.
Then I drilled a clearance hole for each spot. Now it's time to work with
another tool.

Working With Tools Again
Here I'm cutting a crescent wrench for my project.
I bought this wrench in the mid 1970's and it's worked great all these
years. But I have another one, so this one became sacrificial.

More Welding
A mounting screw and a nut.
Next I welded the wrench to my chain.
