This is the engine compartment from the car above. Check out the throttle return springs that are hooked together. I have something very similar on my car but the small one is suppose to go through the large one. The reason for the two springs is in case one breaks, then the other would still work. Why the owner has them hooked up like this is beyond me.
 

Same engine compartment but this time it's a wire from the alternator. This looks to be a ground wire that the owner has installed. You wouldn't need this because the alternator is bolted to the engine via brackets that should end up running to ground. On the other hand, it doesn't surprise me after looking at a few other things that this car has going on.
