I went to a show on February 23rd to a place called The Anchor
Restaurant in Hemet, CA. This was a first for Larry and I so we didn't
know what to expect. The show ran from 2:00 to 5:00 pm but we arrived an
hour early being unaware of the parking situation.
The weather was pretty nice with temps in the low 60's along with a
small amount of wind. Once the shadows starting getting longer, it
cooled down pretty fast. Now normally it's all about the food at the car
show that I go to but this time I didn't even go inside the place so I
guess that will have to wait for another day.
They had a pretty good turnout with about 80 cars that showed up
which made for a nice show. I also saw a couple of new cars that I
haven't seen before so that's always nice.
Let's take a look at some of the hot rods that came out for the show.
This old truck had a lot going on so I took a few
shots of it.

I have no idea why the owner has those close-pins on
the fuel line. I never asked either.
|
 |
Now that's one long brake lever to say the least.
|
 |
As this truck pulled into the show, all you could hear were the
open-and-closing of these caps that were over the extended exhaust
pipes. It gave this truck a very unique sound
(clank...clank...clank...etc).

 |
I've seen this T bucket a few times which is very clean.
|
 |
I believe this is the electric fan control on the T
bucket above which I must have missed when I looked at it before. Seems
like an odd place to mount it though.
|
 |
On the other hand, I've always liked the shifter knob which looks to be an
old glass doorknob, very cool.
