I like both the Chevelle and the Cuda
body styles, which were parked right next to us. Someday I might be
lucky enough to own one of them...or both maybe!

| Here are Larry and I among the sea
of cars that showed up that day. This had to be one of the best car
shows that we've ever been too. The cars alone were great because of how
many that showed up, but the icing on the cake was the air show. And the
R/C aircraft that was there too, way cool.
One more thing I forgot to mention, the food.
There were a bunch of food vendors to choose from so there was no way to
go hungry, broke maybe but not hungry. We both tried the Tri-Tip plate
which came with BBQ sauce spread over the cubed meat along with rice,
beans, salsa and a large warm roll. This was the best meal that I've
ever had a car show and if you ever get the chance, don't pass it up.
At about 3 pm the car show was winding down but
the air show still had an hour or so to go. This meant the awards ceremony
was about to begin so we all walked over to a tent they had just for
that.

| I won a "People's Choice"
award that day which I didn't expect at all. If you don't know how that
works, I'll explain it. When you sign up for the car show, you're handed
a slip of paper that is used for voting with. The voting is broken down
into different years like from "61 to 72, 51 to 60, 41 to 50, 39
and older." While your walking around looking at the cars, you vote
for the ones that you like best by writing the number of the car on your
paper and then handing it in before noon. This was a very special award for me because of
how many cars that were there that day and the voting is done by my
piers (all the people that had cars in the show).
In case you can't read it, the plaque
says "Classic Chevy's Of Riverside, Riverside Airport, Wings &
Fins 2007". If you haven't been to an air show in a few years,
be sure to attend next years "Wings and Fins" at the Riverside
Airport because Larry and I are planning on being there again next year.
