Front Yard Part Two         3                                                4-2026

Working In The Yard Continued

A close-up of the new plants and bark.

It's Finished

We added a few boulders to help fill in the areas that didn't have plants. And those large rocks match the others on the right side of the house now. These rocks came from Whitewater Rock in Whitewater, CA. and weighed over 600 pounds.

We also put two more at either end of the Little John Bottle Brush plants. These plants should look great in a few years.

I didn't want the bark to be right next to the house because of the bugs that like to hide in it. This way the rocks do two things: first it makes a barrier between the house and bark. Second it gives the yard a little different look by matching the walkway that I'm standing on to take this picture.

And here is the matching area I was talking about above.

Birds of Paradise. These plants do better in partial sun so we'll have to see how they do.

Bougainvillea. These have great color and should like nice once they get larger.

Blue Flax Lily Clarity.

Euonymus Golden Flowering Shrub with White Blooms. These can get four to six feet tall so I'll make sure to prune them.

This is the only existing plant that we kept. However, I'm not sure what the official name of it is, but I'll call it "Lucky".

This was another fun project and we both had fun working on it.

I added two small spotlights to the landscaping which gives the yard a little something extra. And I did the same thing to the right side of the house as well. This was another fun project that we both really enjoyed.
