I'm going to paint the outside of the box so it blends in with the other
plants in the yard.

I had this green hammer-tone paint
leftover from a previous project so I used it here.

I pre-cut some of the rubber plugs before I painted them. Also, the paint
didn't adhere to the rubber all that well and stayed tacky. No big deal,
they will still work fine.

Here they are all lit up.

The candy canes are a little brighter than I wanted but at least they
aren't too dark. This was a fun project that I worked on during the
summer and now I can finally enjoy them during the holidays.
