There was a new show that was right here in my home town at 'Famous Auto
Center' on April 25th. Famous Auto Center is owned by the same guy that
owns Famous Tire Company which are both on Ramsey Street in beautiful
downtown Banning. The inaugural show ran from 3 to 6 pm. with music by
Sounds Divine along with a raffle and 50/50 drawing. Being that this
was their first show I didn't know how many people would show up. I
arrived about 45 minutes early and once I found a place to park, the
cars kept coming in for the next hour to completely fill the place. Some
of the cars had to park down the center of the aisles along with some in
the street.
The weather was perfect that day with temps in the low 80's, slight
breeze and blue skies. A few vendors were their showing off their latest
products but the one thing that was missing was any kind of food. I
heard that would change if they have another show.
Larry and I were asked to do most of the judging that day...right at
the very last minute. There were eight categories which included: Best
of Show, under construction and six Top 5 awards (I still haven't
figured that one out yet). The owner of Famous Auto Center had two
awards specially made that he personally picked for Best Motorcycle and
the other would go to Best Car, Truck or SUV. This was the first time
that I've seen two 'Best of' awards.

detail.
