On October 11 from 11:00 to 3:00 we went to
Silent Valley which is
about 15 miles up highway 243. This same highway goes up to
Idyllwild, which is in
the San Jacinto mountains and is about 45 minutes from Banning. All the
proceeds went to the fire department in that area and you received a
T-shirt too. This was their first annual car show and I hope they have
many more in the following years.
The weather was in the low 60's which was fine with most people
because after a long hot Summer, this was a nice change. Their was a
good lunch being served and you had a choice of three different items
for only five dollars. Now that's what I'm talk'n about.
For being their first car show, they didn't have very many cars show
up which was to bad because the ones that don't know what a great time
they missed. I hope they have this again next year because this
place is beautiful with all the trees, recreational activities, pool,
camping etc.
