33 Coupe Having Fun 29       9/24/12

On September 7th, The Past Pleasure's Car Club had their monthly show in Yucaipa. The show hours run from 6 to 9 pm but you'd better get there early or you won't be able to attend.

This months theme was 'Veterans Appreciation Night' and the normal Boy Scout color guard was replaced by some members of the Army. Everyone stands while the ceremonies are going on but there was something special in the air while our troops were presenting the flags that day.

This show has a nice raffle table, huge 50/50 drawing, oldies music and games for the kids too. There were over 230 cars that showed up that evening and some of the later ones had to park in the lot next door which is not the place you want to be. The reason for this is because of all the people shopping that come and go all evening which is a recipe for a door ding....or worse!

I took pictures of about half the show and then decided to sit down and eat but when I took out the camera again, the light was very low and most of the shots weren't coming out. You'll see what I mean as you check out the show.

What you see here is the owner checking out his car for damage because while he was parking he backed into the car behind him. The guy on the right was the victim and is looking on.

Here is the car that got bumped into. He had a large data plaque sitting on a tripod that had all the info about the car along with some pictures in it. As you can tell it's not here anymore because it got broken pretty badly.

This is something that no hot rod guy EVER wants to be in, exchanging information to present to your insurance company. It's a shame this happened at all but the good news is there wasn't much damage to either car.
