33 Coupe Having Fun 23       9/21/09

This was a nice truck.

The cars that you see parked along that fence is the back of the parking lot which means they couldn't get many more in the show. They had a record crowd of cars that night with over 200 in attendance.

This is always a fun show for us because it's close to home and lots of cool hot rods too. The last show of the year is on November 6th, so if you're not doing anything on that day come on out and enjoy the show with us.

On September 19th, the Banning Rotary Club put on a charity car show in my home town of Banning. This was the third annual show for them and the turnout wasn't as good as last year, but they had some nice cars show up. The reason for the lackluster amount of vehicles was because there were other shows going on near by, like the very popular Route 66 show held in San Bernardino which brings in over two thousand cars.

This show went from 8am to 2pm and they served a pancake breakfast in the morning and they had spaghetti with garlic toast, salad and a dessert for lunch. I was lucky enough to have a friend of mine give me a meal ticket which I used for the lunch.

With this show being right in town and only two blocks from Larry's house, he decided to bring out both of his cars. The car below is his Super Gas car (that he's had for about a year and a half now) which runs really good. It has a 352 cubic inch small block Chevy with a power glide. He loves the car but it's hard to sit in because of how small the drivers area is. Oh...and he won an award for driving the least amount of miles to the show too.

This had to be one of the cleanest cars that I've ever seen. It literally looked like it came from the showroom floor.

Here is the engine compartment which was just as nice as the rest of the car. It looks like it's never been run, but it does.
